Endodontics
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Endodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of diseases of the dental pulp (nerve) and/or the tissues surrounding the tooth. When the developing carious process is not promptly removed, there is a risk of its penetration into the pulp (nerve) of the tooth and its infection, which is not always accompanied by pain. This requires the nerve to be removed, the canals of the tooth cleaned and filled with special agents. In this way, the possible penetration of the infection into the surrounding tissues and the development of a number of unpleasant conditions (abscess, granuloma, etc.) is prevented. Sometimes root canal treatment is also necessary when the tooth has been treated, but it has not been able to completely remove the infection and it continues to develop.
