PLACEMENT OF DENTAL IMPLANTS IN PARTIAL OR TOTAL EDENTS.

Dr. Zhechkov is a certified implantologist with extensive experience in placing several different implant systems.

If you are missing one or more teeth, the resulting defect is often restored with a bridge, which requires the filing of adjacent healthy teeth. Placing an implant makes it possible to restore the missing tooth without affecting the adjacent teeth. When chewing teeth are lost, implants are the only alternative to making a bridge. The implant replaces the root of the tooth. It is placed in place of the missing tooth/s. Dental implants used today are made of a biologically compatible material - titanium. In the absence of all teeth, implants allow better retention and stability of the entire prosthesis

How is an implant placed?

Implantation is only performed after preliminary examinations, including X-ray analysis and planning for the precise positioning of the implant. Implant placement is a routine procedure that is performed under local anesthesia. If the patient wishes, the operation can be performed under sedation, performed by a specialist anesthesiologist. After a period of two to four months, necessary for the integration of the implant into the bone, the crown or bridge is placed. If the missing tooth is in an aesthetic area, temporary structures are made for this period.
