A branch of dentistry dealing with the prevention and treatment of tooth-supporting tissues. The main cause of periodontal diseases (gingivitis and periodontitis) is bacterial plaque. Left untreated, periodontitis can lead to the loss of tooth-supporting structures and, in extreme cases, the tooth itself. Maintaining good oral hygiene by the patient and regular visits to the dentist can significantly reduce the risk of developing these diseases. Our clinic provides diagnostics and initial treatment of periodontal diseases. In cases of complex treatments of the chewing apparatus, we work in collaboration with a specialist periodontist.
